Best way to get investor when just starting a venture?

Best way to get investor when just starting a venture?

Demonstrate that your venture will make A LOT of money.

It really depends on the natures and size of your venture and your willingness to sell part of your company. If you are very small, family and friends are your best source. For larger needs, angel investors, venture capital and private equity is the way to go. Of course there's always the loan route.

Get the venture up and running, and preferably making money (or at least generating revenues); very few investors will pay for 'ideas'. Do your market research thoroughly, so you can provide evidence that your business can grow quickly, not just a dream that it can grow quickly. Have a sound and comprehensive business plan, including staffing requirements.
Have some demonstrable business experience -- lots of 'smart' people have good ideas that fail (doctors are notorious examples). Get good legal advice early on.
