Explain what investor means? |
Explain what investor means? That is basically how corporations borrow money. Individuals (investors) buy shares from a corporation with the hopes of making interest off of the shares later. When the corporation is turning quite a profit, some of these individuals sell their shares and make a profit off of them. Give me your money for 30days and lets see if I can invest it and make more money for you by the end of the month.. If it words nicely..you leave it and if not .pull your funds. Investor means "One who Invests". An investor is someone with a long time horizon when it comes to taking a position in a stock. Someone who buys because a company has a great new product or an excellent balance sheet, is buying the stock to 'invest'. An investor usually buys based off of what the company does or is doing and holds onto that investment for at least months to years. A trader is someone who is 'trading' the stock. The time horizon for a trader is much shorter, they are looking to get in, make a profit and 'trade' another opportunity. In most cases a trader doesn't care what the company does, they're trading the stock short term so those things are not really the main concern for a trader. |
