Can a investor with $100,000 net worth negotiate the 1.5% "asset under management" fee of a financial planner?

is that an advertisement?

It depends who the financial planner is, but if the financial planner is with a big company probably not. No offense, but $100,000 net worth is really not a lot to most financial planners. It's possible that if you are young and have substantial anticipated earnings power in the future, you could negotiate.
