Ight buddy if you want to be a smart alley then you ran into the wrong road. If you are going to make obnoxious comment and act like a 5 year old girl you will never go anywhere in life. You will continue to live in your grandma's basement making star wars lego ships. If you are going to make absurd comment then at least back them up.
First of all any average college basketball fan would know that the athletes in the Big East, ACC, Pac-10, the Big 12 and the Big 10 are superior to athletes in all of the mid major and small schools. It is incredibly hard to create a program like what Memphis has done with out the history that Memphis has out of thin air. The teams don鈥檛 get as physically capable athletes and therefore they have difficulty keeping up with the athletes of the BCS school teams.
Fortunately schools like Xavier, Drake, and Gonzaga have been able to play in successful systems with senior and junior leadership and commrodary that other schools strive for. This is the beauty of college basketball: that one team can come together and pull off big victories that no one thought was possible.
Xavier and the rest of the A-10 have been recruiting these less capable athletes who stay in school longer and are more devoted to the programs then their basketball futures. 5 of the top 6 scores on Xavier are upperclassmen and the one who isn鈥檛 is a sophomore. Drew Lavender who is having a great season and is truly one of the most underrated players in the country is a senior who brings tons of leadership to the team. Xavier definitely deserves some credit for beating Indiana, Creighton, Kansas St, and Cincinnati but these were all at home (also includes a 7 point loss to Tennessee which deserves some character for the challenge). The team doesn鈥檛 have 1 legit road win which is a concern. This includes a 22 point loss to ASU. Let鈥檚 see what happens to Xavier once they lose Drew and the other 4 upperclassmen that lead the team in scoring. RI only was 1 legit win against the University of Syracuse who according to you isn鈥檛 that good but when you make this argument you are going to make the Syracuse win sound remarkable. RI's top 4 scores are all upperclassmen again.
The only real case you would have is Dayton who will probably have to win the conference tournament to get in. They have Brian Roberts who is a stud along with freshman, Wright who create some trouble. They also have key wins against Pittsburgh and Louisville, but as of now they are 4-5 in an inferior conference which just won鈥檛 cut it. There are plenty of other teams at this mark in much stronger conferences.
As for my Syracuse Orange we have been hit my injuries without Eric Davendorf and Andy Routins we have absolutely no leadership from upperclassmen on the team. We have some great talent in Green, Flynn, Onuaku, Harris and Jardine, but without senior or junior direction it is tough playing in the toughest conference night in and night out. The team is great throughout the game but when it come to crunch time we are missing the leadership to close out the games with experience. If you take a team toward the bottom of the Big East like Rutgers or St. John's who are in danger of not making the Big East tournament, either of these team would be considered the favorite to win the A-10 with their talent. The A-10 has some time before you can consider these teams with the Big East or any other power conference teams.
Nice buddy.
