I am a new trader and I just started an account with Etrade and Firsttrade....and i wanted to know first if i have to pay any taxes on my profits and second...which online broker is better...thank you! First Question: Yes Yes you will have to pay taxes on profits but if you have some profits and some losses, your losses can offset you profits. In response to the second part of the question. About taxes on profit: depends on your nationality/where you are living, e.g. USA: yes, The Netherlands: no Also differs in height of tax in different countries. |
