Too many variables, but most investors look to buy to resell as well. Depends on age, condition, what repairs or updates need done, etc. Could be anywhere from 60% to 80% of value. There are many cost involved with a house, and at 80% the investor can barely turn a profit.

Understand, investors aren't philanthropist, they need to turn a profit.

How much would that house RENT for? If it rents for $2800 a month, an investor would probably "pay" around $220,000 for it, if it's in PRISTINE condition. Deduct twice the cost of repairs, if it's not in perfect condition, from the monthly rent times 100.

$196K if it needs no repairs. (70% of FMV)
