Bearish. Meaning he believes the stock will go down in price, making him a profit. The "Bears" believe that something will go down, a "Bull" thinks it will go up. Stocks are often described as a contest between Bulls and Bears. A period in the stock market when everything seems to go down or up is called a Bear or Bull market, respectively.

Actually, the market is made up of buyers and sellers, all human and all susceptible to greed and fear. I didn't make that opinion up, by the way. It is in every text on the market I own.
