Where's the best place to find an investor?

I'm starting a new business, well it's not strictly new, but I'm tired of my old business partner so I want to either buy him out or set up a new company broadly based on the old one.

Either way, I would ideally like to find an investor, either as a silent partner or as a co-manager.

Does anyone know the best outlets for finding one? I'm in the media industry, specifically service & content for film, video & TV.

I'm in the UK

You might want to check out prosper.com It's a web community that makes loans to individuals and small businesses like yourself. Its very clever as the money you borrow comes from many people in the community in small chunks. Prosper aggregates the $ into one package. Its an easy to navigate website and the concept works. They even can help you if you have bad credit or no credit and the interest rates are quite a bit better than the banks and hard money lenders. Give it a shot!!!
Also the SBA has a mentorship program where you can get advice from retired and seasoned entrepreneurs or corporate mangers. The service is free or very low cost i believe.
Best of luck to you.

...don't know about UK yet but I'll look into it...

Either in the poor house or Hell.

Send me your contact information (name, phone number(s), and email address) and I will forward the information to an investor.

Try some costly shares
