How do I go about getting an investor?

I have this GREAT idea to open a restraunt in this area, and I know it will be a big hit. Problem is, I dont have the startup. How would I go about looking, or getting an investor?

Two Words: Business Plan. Do your research and get all the facts down on paper. Plan everything you can think of. Impress your investors that no one else knows & cares more about this project more than you.

I agree that this is a good answer. Since I have written proposals a lot, let me add one or two other things since it is a great idea. To get a proposal accepted, you have to sell the idea. For any grant, many people will apply. A loan is the same. Report It

First, think about what would be unique about your restaurant. I can't believe how many kinds of restaurants there are these days. You need something special to show that you are more deserving than the others. Report It

Then of course, a proposal is a piece of writing which follows the basic rules for good writing. Be concise, put your ideas in the best order, probably ending with the strongest argument. Do some research, perhaps a survey showing that people would enjoy your restaurant. Report It

You have to look for your angel investors in your social circle. Scan for those rich ones and talk about your idea to them. To be realistic, no matter how great is your idea to open a restaurant, I bet there will be one same as you in a year time. Thus, your marketing is also important as well.
