Did you sell a home to an investor?

I've been out of work for over a month and am considering selling to an investor. I don't want to get ripped off, but I know the house will take forever to sell if I listed it with a Realtor. Can anybody tell me about their experience - did the investor give you a fair price, meaning, did the sale not only allow you to pay off the note but also get some cash from the equity out of the house?

Of course it is fair, to the INVESTOR.

Generally you will get about 50 to 75 percent of the value.

Generally you are not really selling the house they simply take over your payments until THEY can sell it themselves and then consumate your sale to them.

At minimum contact a real estate agent and talk to them.

Oh if you want to try this route, foolish in my opinion, tell the person you will have your Atty look over the contract before signing it. Then DO or you are even more foolish.
