I am a beginner investor. Help please? |
I am a beginner investor and still a student.I can't afford to invest more than 2000/-. Do organisations like sharekhan serve "tiny" investors like me properly? As your investment amount is very low. You can think of investing through mutual funds. But your question does not say whether it is 2000 per month or one time investment of 2000. With little capital to invest I would look at using one of the online brokerage houses like Scottrade or E-trade, etc. They have commissions as low as $7 a trade. You would be wise to just by one stock at your level of capital and stick with it for a while. That way you don't have hi trading commissions. Simply pick a company that you like and is performing well in the market and over a couple of years you should get a decent return. If you can't take high risk, why not try investing in funds rather than stocks? China and India funds are doing well lately and are predicted to continue for a couple of years. Korea atm is starting to rise due to the high demand of oil and cheap trading there. Try to invest your small money in small business ;-) Hello, Rocky9281! |
