How do I establish a large investor base?

I am a real estate investor, buyer/seller, who is looking to network with other investors. How should I go about building a large investor base, and obtaining contacts?

I would join a local REI group. I have done this and made tons of contacts. Also look at craigslist.org. Tons of posts from investors, just email and start the networking. Call the "WE buy houses" ads in the newspaper and find out where and what they like to buy. Also ask them to put you on their wholesale list. You can find great deals from these guys. You can also sell them deals once you find out how much they will pay. I have a house listed on craigslist.org as a wholesale deal 78 cents on the dollar minus repairs, and have made many contact for buyers that way. Even if you have the property wholesaled already post these ads to build your buyers list.
