Recommendations for the SAFEST ways to make 7-9% return on investments?

Looking for annual return, nothing longer term than 5 years, and no more than half of the investment inaccessible for over a year.

DRIP Plans are great for long-term. The longer you keep your money in these plans the higher the annual return will be. A 5 year outlook, I am not sure, that will have to be your call.

If you decide on mutual funds, do your research because 75% of them under perform the market. All of them have management fees of 1% to 2% and some have sales loads. That is a lot to overcome.

I would suggest checking into DRIP Plans. If you look into mutual funds, make sure they have a track record close to what you are looking for.

I have made some great returns from Fidelity Independence Fund.

You've got a lot to learn. With high returns, comes higher risk.
Anyone that tells you can do what you want & it's "safe" is ripping you off.

Learn investing. Asking strangers whose qualifications and motives can never be known, will lose you money.

Read some books. Depend on yourself. You'll do much better.

Buy the way: the Fidelity Independence Fund (FDFFX) is a good fund. It's lost 10.29% since January 1, 2008. It's a 5 Star fund (at the top of its class).

As I said... you've got a lot to learn.
