At age 70 with $400,00 savings, $3,000 monthly income, house and car paid for, how can I live in comfort? |
I would like safe secure investments and money put away for long term or assisted health care. Thankyou First you have to define what comfort really and deeply means for you. In order to find out, you need to talk to three people: 1) a financial advisor at your bank in the wealth management division, 2) your pastor or minister, and 3) your health care provider. How could you not? That's more than many get while actually working for a living! move in with your kids...you'll only be a burden for like 15 more years. At your age, long-term care insurance is going to be about $3500/month. The nice thing about that is $2500 of it is deductible as medical expense. Wow - you already live in comfort. Are you bragging or complaining? Is that $400 or $400,000 in savings? But why savings? I guess that is your question. Assuming you have no children or family, I see two options. |
