Stock.... Genting International?

Genting International had won the bid for casino in Singapore.
should i go into it for long term investment?

how do i calculate the return in 10-15 years?
many people would say 30-40 folds... they are based on the history of this company performed in the casino in Malaysia.

any serious advise would be great
thank you in advance

I am familiar with Genting and you need to consider the following:

1) Management and Succession planning
2) Risks associated with them entering into new projects that is outr of the scope of their line of business. I think the casino business is a subsegment but nonetheless still not their primary business.
3) Read their annual report and see their historical EPS performance.
4) Need to research what other projects they are eying as well and see if it has good prospects.

I would think that given the history of the company and diversity that they are embracing, it is a good longterm investment but do not expect more that 12% p.a. returns since alot of their dividends are being ploughed back into the business for expansion.

A person was once asked, what he would like. Whereupon, his immediate reply - "To be very rich". The questioner placed two large dollar signs and stuck them on his spectacles. "Whoa! I can't see a thing!"
That is the point! He cannot seperate means from ends.
If you have not watched Ground Hog Day, I thoroughly recommend the movie.
