If you had $5000 to your name, and no job, what would you invest in?

Two kids, a mortgage, no job, and only $5000. How would you invest that $5K to create an income for you immediately, while also serving as a long-term investment?

I would invest some of it in a good resume. Some of it in envelopes. And some of it in postage stamps.

There is nothing you could invest 5k in that would give you anything resembling income. Except maybe illegal drugs, if you want to sell drugs.

Have to agree with the above posters - with 5k you are way undercapitalized to hope to make much of an income. Remember also that high returns normally come with a commensurate high risk. I would look for a new job and try to build your capital up. Good luck!

You can get a job and start an online business part time with $5000. If you do your online business correctly, that capital will give you to run your online business for at least a year.

You'd be in no position to invest - put it in the bank and try to make it last.

Invest it in stock

A new suit for those job interviews.

If I had that 5k, I would be purchasing at least 10 units of the oxy-hydrogen kits from the Canadian company, savefuel.ca. Once I had them in Australia, I could double my investment in a week, after investing in a little advertising.
Australians bought over 2 million new cars last year, and we all complain about fuel prices. The market is wide open for this technology, which by the way, is nothing new!
Maybe you could do similar in your country.

Good luck.
