Anybody have any expierience of French Leasebacks?

As a long term investment, are they worth it. I am not out to make a quick buck, but I would like a long term investment where I know that I am going to have my mortgage paid. How much deposit is required? Does anybody know any good websites?

So lets see ..

You buy a property on a mortgage and lease it back to eg. the builders .. the idea being that the lease income covers the mortgage ..

Can you see anything wrong with this ?

For example, why don't the builders cut you out and save complexity and money by paying less money direct to the mortgage company instead ?

Perhaps because there is no guarantee that the lease will (ever) cover the mortgage ??

.. or perhaps just to move any liability for the property off their books and onto you ?
