SEP IRA - Can we manage the contributions?

Recently I made contributions for SEP IRA. Will this money go to a default fund or can it be vested in different funds just like we do in 401K ?

Yes, you can manage the contributions to your SEP IRA or any other IRA. In general, you need to give the custodian instructions as to which mutual funds the money should go to. Often times, custodians just put the money into cash reserves or money market funds, but things depend.
