UK>>> My account got flagged by mu bank's fraud team? |
I made quite a few payments over the phone, some of which to dodgy website for questionable services. It doesnt matter what, but it is really sensitive and the last thing i needed was call from the bank about it? I felt like they were really intruding into my private life and we had to go through all of the entries on my statement. I wasn't completely sure after our discussion whether they were calling because they thought someone else had used my card or if they were just gathering information to be passed on to the authorities? Anyway, until i managed to talk to them i could only withdraw funds from a cashpoint and was unable to pay items over the phone or internet. The bank will disclose information to credit reference agencies as a matter of course. They will also disclose information to law enforcement agencies on request. If you've done nothing wrong then you have nothing to fear. Unless of course the "services" were illegal, eg, child porn etc then no your details won't be passed on to a third party. |
