Help with a pension please? |
Just over 5 years ago my mother (part time school dinner lady) , now 63, took out a UK stakeholder emploers pension managed by scotiish equitable. She paid in 拢12.04 a week and her employer paid 拢5.02 totalling 拢17.06. Over a 5 year period the total paid in is roughly 拢4,500. She is about to retire and they have sent her a for with 2 alternatives 1. she has a lump some of 拢1700 in full settlement, or 拢533 lump sum and 拢 91.00 a year guaranteed for 10 years. looks like who ever had control of the investments was one dumb investor -- i could have done that good throwing dart at the market board -- i think i would look in to getting a lawyer and maybe going after the company with a class action law suit!!! |
