How do you switch a Roth IRA?

Hi, I have a Roth IRA with T. Rowe Price which I thought was an index fund. Unfortunately, I made a mistake and it's actually an actively managed fund. How do I take my money out of that fund and move it over to one that's NOT actively managed? Step-by-step details would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Join Morningstar (free) check out the rating for the fund you own.(5 star is best). Then check to see if they have index funds with low fees.Pick out a 5 star rating on the index fund(if any).
Then call the T. Rowe & switch. Careful though in Dec. they pay cap. gains & dividend distributions. So the fund will drop by the amount of dist.
Best of Luck....

You should just have to fill out a form to "ROLL IT OVER" into a new fund, whoever sells you that fund should be able to hand you the form, and there shouldn't be any fees, but I havn't done it in 4 or 5 years.
