What if I gave you $86, 400...How would you spend it?

If I gave you $86, 400 how would you spend it?

Before you answer, here is the catch:

First: All the money has to be spent within 24 hours. None of it can carry over through investments, etc. You can't have a penny left over.

Second: You may or may not get another $86, 400 tomorrow. I may give you more, I may not. You will not know.

Honestly, how would you spend the money? Would you spend it wisely, or would you just blow it all?

How would you spend it?

Ok....now that you have answered.

Do you know that there are 86,4000 secomnds in every day? You have to spend each second within 24 hours, and you may or may not get another 86,400 seconds tomorrow...right?

Do you spend your time as wisely as you would spend the money? Be honest.

Time is waisting!!!!!

Give 25,000 to my Church.

Pay off my Mothers car and pay on my mortgage.

No, I didn't.
When I answered the rest of it wasn't there yet.
Great question and really makes one think.. Report It

that was hot - with regret to sounding like paris hilton Report It

Pay down my mortgage.

I'd get a quickie divorce and marry you in Vegas. We'd get online and plan a worldwide vacation around the world with all the accomadations and buy outfits from each country we touched down in!!!!!! Prepay for it all. There ya go-!!!!!!!
Wisely? Ok, open trust funds for my kids college to grow over the next several years, and a large downpayment on a new home, maybe a vehicle too.

there, 2 answers!

finish paying off the house, then pay off the cars, get good health insurance so my husband would feel better about getting out of the army so he could spend more time with his family.

Pay off my mortgage and my car and buy groceries with the rest of it. Then I wouldn't have to stuggle so much with 3 jobs and no health insurance.

I'd spend it on many many whores.

Use it as a down payment on a house. I can always sell the house and make more money.

I would divide it amongst various charities. First, some would go to my church. Second, a large portion to St. Jude's hospitals. Third, a portion would go to MDAnderson Children's Cancer research.

I believe, I would also pay off what few bills I have, simply so I would be better equipped to care for my family. I'm pretty sure all of this could be done by electronic transfer within 24 hours.

Spend 86 thou overnight and accquire no assets?

Watch the movie "Brewster's Millions"

;)

Go to the titty bar, and get wasted.

I will help a friend of mine to buy a good restaurant in his name and spend all the money on it. After 24 ours I will join his restaurant as a manager on a good salary.

i will buy an agricultural land with crops already.the produce are highly in demand in the local market.i will buy fish ponds operational already.the remaining will beused for reforestation projects etc.

Pay off all debts-mortgage, credit cards. Does paying off my mortgage count as investment? If so, I would gift my children money, buy hubby a fancy car, buy life-time health club/spa memberships, and some lovely pieces of antique furniture.
Interesting question! Thanks for posing it!

I'd buy myself a house and rent it out!
At least I'd have guaranteed money whether or not you pay me again!

give to charity

i would blow sum of it i already know, fix up my car,go to the dentist cause my teeth been killin me, put a payment on a house for my mother if not for me, pay some old bills off, hopefully have enough to give my moms some, pay for my boyfriends grandmothers cancer treatments, take my dogs to the vet for a check up,pay off my fines for court naw id rather get a lawyer n go fight these court cases,. i would find underpriveledged kids and spend a lil doe on them, not necc. in that order

Sounds something like Brewster's Millions.

Following the rules (nothing left and no investment means no house or car payments)... I'd spend 24 hours having a hayday going around town randomly and anonymously (who was that?) giving out cash to people who looked like they could use it.

It depends on your outlook as to whether that would be considered blowing it all.

1/3 to pay down bills (mortgage, cars, etc)
1/3 as 'nest egg' (extremely stable funds)
1/3 to charity (clothing the naked, housing the homeless, feeding the hungry)

bless you for the "dollar a second"

I'd donate 10% to a worthy charity since I came into a gift of such.
There's a woman down the street at least ninety years old and her house could use some repairs.
I could use a new wardrobe for myself, I haven't bought new clothes in ten yrs.

1) I would contact the poorest elementary school in our district and find out how to purchase a computer/printer/software for each classroom.
2) I would purchase backing fabric for the quilts my quilt guild donates to the Brooke Army Burn Unit in San Antonio. We've done over 200 so far and backing fabric is the most expensive item.
3) I would give my husband and two daughters a day at the spa.
4) I would contact Habitat for Humanity in my county and offer to purchase the curtains/window treatments/bathroom decor.
5) I would pay off the remaining balance on our home improvement bills.
6) I would divide an even amount, perhaps $15,000 three ways and put into my kids' college fund accounts. My oldest is a college senior and only has enough for one more semester, we're paying for this semester for him.

Anything left would be given to the educational foundation of the school district my kids attend.

The number interests me, it is so familiar but I can't remember where I have recountered it. Yes, it is the number of seconds in a day. You have asked a real question. Nobody has the right answer. Anyway, thank you for your question.

Pay off all bills, utility, phone, judgements, and buy a new car. Pay for my daughters ACT tests, take them shopping for school clothes and with the rest, buy a mobile home to live in to call my own. All these things could be done in hours. I drive a Ford Festiva but the transmission is shot. Live without utilities because I can't afford to pay off what I owe. I work 40 hours + a week but make 7.50 an hour. Our phone was stolen from the high school my daughter attends. Police report on file. If anything was left over, I'd take my girls on a Florida vacation to Disney world. I'd book within the 24 hours. I'd be able to start over. That's about it.

I'd buy you a thank you card, and send 10 kids to college or trade school.
