Would buying a timeshare in a tropical area where property value is growing or stable be a good investment?

I'd imagine that it would save me money on vacation expenses in the longrun, but could it get me any other return?

I read an article online a few months ago. It said that values of timeshares have historically gone down so they make crappy investments. Take a look at some of the online timeshare exchange sites and you will see this. The only real gain is a reduced vacation cost. If you will actually use it, I say definitely consider a TS but not as an investment.

You can visit http://www.mytoursguide.com and find a good number of articles and very useful tips to learn timeshare options worldwide. One can even get a free timeshare as a promotional offers from travel companies. Report It

time shares are always a horrible "investment". In fact they are not an investment at all. If you want a place to stay for a week or two per year (or whatever the arrangement) then go ahead and buy in but don't delude yourself into thinking it is a good investment. You'd be better off buying orange fields in alaska.
