Is online investment a good idea?

There is this site called "swiss cash" you need a refferal to sign up but once you do you get 25% interest every month!! That just does not make sense to me but the friend who told me about it knows people who are making money like that!

This would fall into the category 'too good to be true'. If they are truly paying 25% interest per month, then they would have returned your entire investment to you after just 4 months! After that, where is the money coming from? They would go out of business doing this.

At worst this site would be a scam. At best, it may be a pyramid scheme where perhaps some of the first people in were truly making good returns - but as with any pyramid scheme most people lose money. If this is the case, you will most likely need to get other people to sign up to make 25% - and then they would lose their money unless they are able to do the same.
