What will be the best investment in the next 3 decades? |
With real estate market is going down the hill, is it wise to put money on it? What do you think the real estate market will be in 3 decades from now? If real estate isn't a good investement, then what will be? 3 decades is a LONG time. The long term trend for real estate since darn near the beginning of man has been up. There have been intermitant disruptions in the trend. After the plague hit Europe, real estate took a plunge. I am sure there have been plenty of other interruptions also, some possibly lasting a good while. But if we assume that there will not be any major economic disruptions, perhaps not a valid assumption in today's climate, real estate should do just fine. One of the factors that adds to the attractiveness is the wonderful very generous tax advantages given to real estate investments. Personally, If you have the cash to pay for real estate, now is probably a great time to purchase for the long-term. The stock market has always been the best investment over the long term. Especially when dividends are reinvested. Also, the transactional costs are much less than real estate and stocks are much more liquid than real estate. If you don't feel comfortable in investing in individual stocks, then do it through mutual funds you trust. Coal, railroads and weapons. gold I honestly believe wind power and solar power are the best investments for 30 years from now. Right now, solar is a bit expensive, but wind energy stocks are still relatively cheap. Here are 3 that I own: 麓ve been investing for more than 20 years and trading for almost 14, and I can tell you that if you want to make BIG and FAST profits, I recommend you trading rather than investing, trading can help you to go from rags to rich. |
