Why are these 'investment' meetings held? |
They claim to have made a lot of money and want to get you to do the same by attending their meeting. I can not understand if they have a good way to make money why do they want to share it with others? Be careful by the way. If you sign in your own home you have a cooling off period. If you go to them you do not. I think these things are a scam My boyfriend works in the industry. Always check that the company is FSA regulated (this is in the UK). If it is not , stay clear of them !The reason why they want your money is because they charge you an initial fee to enter the fund , annual management fees and exit fee. They are guaranteed to make money for themselves this way even when markets are going down. If you are rich enough to invest in a hedge fund they will even charge a performance fee , normally they will take 20% of your profits. Can you say.....pyramid scheme??? Perhaps the way they make money is to charge other people a fee for teaching them how to make a lot of money??? don't bother with that lot |
