How is investment income taxed twice? |
You get taxed on income, then you pay taxes on profit from the investment. Where do get the taxed twice on the same money? Sorry meant to ask "Where do they get the idea that they are taxed twice on the same money" like most Cons claim. The corporation is taxed on their profits. When what is left of those profits is distributed to the shareholders as dividends, the individuals who receive them pay income tax on them----thus the double taxation. qweefin s, |
