Is this it? What can I do on my 401k?

Well, everything seems to be pointing to the recession finally starting. As far as I can tell, the markets are all getting shaken up, and everything is starting to slide. We've been waiting for this for a while, and I think it was pretty much inevitable.

At this point, what is the best move for my 401k? Should I leave it as is, should I increase my contributions (if I can afford it)? Should I move money into different funds - and what type?

Leave it. I wouldn't move anything right now. It will bounce back. I'm already maxed in my contributions or else I would be increasing mine now.

I have left my 401K alone. I lost most of it about 7 years ago in the market crash. It has recovered significantly since then and is down again. Since we are only interested in this after our 65th year (most likely), just leave it alone.

Keep contributing by all means. If you want to adjust the funds allocation, that is up to you. But don;'t get too conservative as that will cost you in the long run.
