What's your net worth?

I'm just curious... everyone I talk to says they have literally no money, like $5 in their pocket and thats it. Maybe it' just because I'm in college and all college students are poor.

How much money do you have? (Minus any debt)
How old are you?
Is your money in the bank? Mutual funds? Retirement savings? Stock market?

If you don't feel comfortable answering that, please tell me how much money you think a 20 year old should have saved up, and what they should do with their money. Thanks.

Ana R, two days ago you posted a question stating that you were 14. You cannot age 15 years in two days. You have been owned.

When I was 20 and in college, I rarely had more than the next month's rent money, and that was a stretch much of the time.
There were some pretty lean times after college too. Now we are nearing retirement and our net worth is substantial.

Real estate
Mutual funds
GICs
Savings accts
Pension funds

I think 20 year olds should avoid college loans if possible and if they have extra funds I think they should travel.

NETWORTH= $456,000,789
AGE=29
32% in bank
68% in stocks

-It comes from hard work and dedication!

1220.92 and some change before rent and bills and whatever else I buy before then. Then I will have like I don't know 600 or something or less left in the bank. I am 21. I don't know how much people around our age should have saved up but I'm guessing it's more than what I have. I'm doing alright though. I'm not in school right now but I'm going back part time while working full time if that gives you any ideas, do you just work part time? Well have a good day.

Well, I'm 17 and saving up for the future (short term, mainly moving out sometime this summer, & long term - college, graduate school, travel, etc). I don't have much now, I'm looking for a better job as well. i have 300 in savings, another hundred to spend on things now (in checking acct). i have about 5,000 in the stock market that is invested in good companies guaranteed long-term profit.

unfortunately, when i do move out, i expect to have very little in my pocket as well..but i'm pretty good at disciplining myself to at least put a good portion of my paycheck into savings, and to never take it out (i have a savings for that, and checking acct for everyday saving - it's pretty helpful). also, i have no money in my pocket either. i always use debit, i find it easier to curb my spending that way.

anyway, i'm not sure how much a 20 year old should have. everyone is going to be at different points in their life, and i think if you have even saved up a couple hundred, that's great. i think you should spend your money on things you will love and enjoy for a long time, and that will last, not frivolous things like morning coffee at starbucks or magazines or a lot of cheap clothing.

I don't know what my net worth is. I'm only 14.

And even if I did, it wouldn't be a lot.
