Refunded Money to Closed Account??

I used a visa check card 2 years ago to fund my internet marketing search account with Yahoo... I had a balance sitting in the account for $240... I closed my account that was associated with that check card over a year ago.

I asked for a refund of the balance... but the refunded the balance to the cancelled account.... Now they say there is nothing they can do to help me and to contact my bank... BUT THEY ARE NOT MY BANK!!! I havent had an account with them for almost a year now... how can you refund money to a cancelled check card????? What can I do?

When they said to contact your bank they meant: contact the bank that issued the check card.

Re-activate the account, remove the $$$ and closed it again. I know this is dumb but one must admit that there are dumbs in the world.
