I have the best bass bait to come along in decades. How do I get it out on the market with little money.?

Once this is known it will be on the shelves. The last four I came up with are. I want to be a part of this one but I have little funds. I'm sending myself a certified letter with the details in an attempt to protect myself from being ripped off. Is there anyone who can honestly make some money from a great idea without taking advatage of the inventor ?

Your letter thing is useless. Assuming it can be patented at all, look into a provisional patent - $100 for one year of protection while you market it, then can get a real patent for $5000+ if it catches on.

The only way you will not get ripped off is if you have the money to back you up. In your case I am assuming you do not have the finances. What you can do is create a patent with that certified letter for better protection. Then you would contact the appropriate company's that are in the similar business and set up a meeting or send them a sample and a presentation included. Before you send this presentation to their headquarters you would want to document everything with pictures and video that includes proof of date. If the company's like your invention they will take most of the profits and you will most likely receive a small cut as well. Not a bad idea for sitting around doing nothing. Yet you give up the chance to make more if you venture into it yourself. Good luck.

It sounds to me like you have been ripped off the previous four times and still haven't found someone who can 'honestly make some money' while see that you get your fair share.

Look at other bass bait being sold, and study the packaging. Is there a trademark, a patent number, and other protective identification? You need to go for these things too.

You might look into making, packaging, and marketing it yourself so that you can justifiably claim a larger share of the net profits.

Do you have a patent?
