I need some major help. i'm planning on my future & i want to be able to save some money for retirement.? |
i'm 27 yrs old. i live in the virginia area. i have no kids. i 'm nt married. i'm working 2 jobs so that i can have survive. i plan on going to school in the fall of 2008. what i want to do is drop one of the jobs & probably try to get a 2nd job working from home on the internet. can that be done? i know in the past my budgeting skills weren't always the best but i'm getting my life together & i want to be successful & be happy. does anyone suggest getting an CD'S OR MONEY MARKET accts? how about mutual funds? i just need some advice. i don't want to be working for the rest of my life. A 401K is a great place to start. The money comes out of your check before you even see it and it builds over time. The important thing is to do something NOW and KEEP DOING IT every week. Even if it is just putting $5 in a savings account. Eventually that will become $1000 and you can move it to a CD or Mutual Fund where it will earn a better rate of return for you. Well you have taken the first step. |
