How often do money market funds pay dividends?

I put some money in one about a week ago and the account balance hasn't changed. I assumed I would get interest every day.

Although the interest will accrue throughout the month, it won't post to your account until the end of the month.

I have a number of money market funds AND the dividends [interest] are paid at the end of each month.

Hi, i suggest a great site with plenty of Issues related to your Investing and everything around it. it also provide clear and accurate answer to many common questions.

I am sure that you can get your answers in this website.

Good Luck and Best Wishes!

They normally pay monthly.

I'm with AG on this one. They accrue interest/dividends daily, but are posted once a month (typically). At the end of the month you will see the deposit (even if you've not had the money invested for an entire month).

Money market postings work the same way your paycheck works. You might not get paid by your boss everyday, but you are earning money at work....you just have to wait until payday to get that paycheck.
