When do I get paid on dividen mutual fund or ETF and how? |
I have a ishare ETF bounght on March. And dividen yield is 4.1% Go to finance/yahoo ..put your symbol in the quote box...when it comes up click on " historical prices"...then on " dividends only"...you will see when the dividends are paid...whether quarterly or yearly....and you can see the amount of the dividend ( per share). You get paid when the fund says it distributes dividends..They will be paid based on what the underlying stocks pay. The 4.1% quoted is an historical rate, what you get now and in the future depends on the fortunes of the companies in the fund. |
