If I put 30,000 in a mutual fund, how much interest would i earn monthly as well as yearly?

mutual funds are invested in stock, they are NOT bank accounts. you have no guarantee of increase at all. you may want a money market account at a bank.

why dont you go to the bank and find out.

depends on the fund, and the market.

Hello,

You do not earn interest on a mutual fund. Instead, you get dividends and/or capital gains. Capital gains can be realized or unrealized and can result from your sale and from a mutual fund distributing a capital gain to you.

Returns vary based on the investment category and are not fixed or guaranteed.

I hope this helps.

there are about 30ooo different mutual funds.....some are bond .some are stock.......................need a better question

Though mutual funds don't pay interest but have other forms of gaining capital, I would say just one thing: too little!
