What is direct credit in mutual fund?

When you aks for redemption of your units in a mutual fund, the refund can come in two ways. One is that the mutual fund gives a demand draft in your name and the other is that they credit your bank account directly, this happens by way of Electronic Clearing System maintained by the RBI

Maybe it is dividends, interest, and capital gains payments will be automatically be re-invested in more shares of same fund (optional)
