Would anyone recoment a mutual fund which one and y?

avg return more then stocks?less risk?

Oakmark Equity and Income: OAKBX. less risk and better return than the S&P 500. Does well in Bear markets.

The funds can be selected based on the NAVs being published in the net like moneycontrol.com
Presently India leadership, Sundaram select midcap, SBI MSFU contra are doing well. These have declared dividends apart form having a higher NAV.There are many more schemes doing better and you will have to see the NAVs and come to a decision.

T Rowe Price New Era...No load, low cost fund with a commodity based investment strategy. Since commodities will continue to be hot for the near future it's a good fund to be in. PEACE!

Large Cap - Hodges Fund (HDPMX); Gartmore Small Cap (GSXAX); T Rowe Price International Disovery Fund (PRIDX); N/I Numeric Investors Mid-Cap Fund (NIGVX); Loomis Sayles Bond Fund (LSBRX) are some decent funds.
