There is nothing called best mutual fund which will always stay best forever. Investing based on past returns is like driving by looking into the rear view mirror. Past helps you to identify the better ones among all. I have seen fund houses like Franklin Templeton, HDFC, DSPML and Reliance have done well. But they also have some laggards within their portfolio. So invest with careful study and review it regularly at least twice a year.
