What is a good mutual fund to put my money in?

I'm a 24 year old recently graduated from college and got a job.. I want to start saving up and while the money is not being used for anything, I though I might as well put it to work. So what is a good mutual fund to put my money in?

your question should be, "what is an appropriate asset allocation for someone my age and risk tolerence?". if you really want to make money, forget the words "mutual fund". look into index funds and ETFs. funds matter not. asset allocation makes up abut 95% of a portfolio's returns over the last 50 years or so. it took me about 5 years out of college to learn this the hard way. check out ifa.com, ishares.com, and vanguard.com.

happy investing.
