Mutual fund or stock??

Which one is good to start Mutual fund or cheap stock???

Well, none. get educated is the best choice. But if you still do not want this choice then for me would be index etf

If you are inexperienced then I would definitely go with mutual funds. In that instance, you put your money in the hands of a financial expert who disperses your money into several stocks

Mutual fund. Then you get a small piece of many stocks.

I have been watching VWNDX (Vanguard Windsor Fund) for my brother (the one with the PhD and is clueless about the market :) They have been doing a VERY good job. They had one day they gain 3 cents in a very down market. I had taken a heavy hit, but is regaining.

If you have one position in a cheap stock you have just that cheap stock.

Mutual Funds have management fees, and many have sales loads.

Your first option should be to fund fully a retirement account. If you do this, and you have extra cash, then one of the best things you can do is open a DRIP Plan.

These powerful investment plans are seldom talked about because brokers make very little money when they suggest them. Yet, they have proven to be one of the best, if not the best, long-term strategy on Wall Street.

They are perfect for small investors, as well as big investors. They are safe and allow you to not care about whether the market is going up or down. They are a must for any serious investor.

If you decide you are interested in DRIP Plans, I believe there is instructions on the webpage.

I strongly recommend looking into it. They are great plans.

Good Luck
