Mutual fund? 5 star rating or a new fund?? |
A lot people say it better to buy a mutual fund with certain star rating. I wonder if those existing fund for a long time already earn enough and no room for them to grow. So, should I buy a new fund or a fund existing for a long time with good rating?? Star rating does not always say much about how a manager achieve this. There is a decent web site you might want to check called fundmojo that provides history on fund rating, holdings and other information that might be useful in your research. Whether or not to purchase a fund is a greatly dependent on your risk tolerance. The funds prospects are something you would want to consider of course and the type of fund plays a big part in the amount you could potentially earn or lose I like to balance my investments between low/medium/higher risk strategies. |
