What kinfd of insurance do I need for this online classes business?

People register for classes via my website and I pay the instructors as subcontractors. There will be a waiver of liability people accept before signing up for a class -- so what type of insurance should I get and how much can I expect to pay for the policy?

The waiver means NOTHING, fyi.

You probably need general liability coverage, and you need to make sure your subs have THEIR general liability coverage by requiring them to provide you with a certificate of insurance. You also probably want your subs to have Workers Comp coverage on that certificate, otherwise you could be held responsible if they don't meet the IRS subcontractor definition standard.

Professional liability is important, as is trademark infringement. If you get sued, it's most likely going to be for either a copywrite/trademark infringement, or for having a sub teach something incorrect that results in damages.

Re the premium - probably $1,000 for general liability, and maybe $1500 for professional & copywrite.

just use - pay a good lawyer, if you have doubts - a normal disclaimer, your alumns have to undersign the same time they subscribe your course; this should be sufficient;
you cannot make things wrong; what kind of damages can happen? if, nothing that you can adjust by distance with your site (bonus, extra course and study material for free, extra private tutorship...free hour with an instructor, etcetc);
but if you insist to have one (covering what?), i amsure you find some broker selling it to you; in that case you may have doscounts, if you add the arbitration clause, ie you both agree not to go to trial in case of dispute, but will settle it for example through a neutral third party, for example the chamber of commerce or similar;
