How can I place a free business ad online?

I have my business lisence on house cleaning and I like to find some customers who need my services. Since the business is pretty slow right now. I need to find more houses to clean. I really appreciate your help. thank you.

i actually own a cleaning service myself.
craigslist.com has definately been the best source of online advertising for me...... the best part is that it's free
also phonebooks have worked well for me as well
i also have a referal program: if you refer 5 people, your next cleaning is free....... so between that and the fact that I do good work that speaks for itself, I get a lot of referal business.
you might want to creat a flyer or brochure if you don't already have one and then take it to all of the local real estate, construction, and apartment offices.

Try craigslist.com or domesticsale.com. They let you list your ad by catagory, state and city for free.

You may want to consider opening up a blog, at blogger.com for instance, creating a small profile about your business and services and use it as another way to gain local customers by listing you blog web address.
