I'm considering starting my own online software business, how do i sell my products digitally online?

I've checked out websites such as payloadz.com
If I develop software, and get payed through paypal, I don't think it would be practical to mail a boxed cd of my product to each customer. Is there a way that once they go to my store, select their products in the shopping cart, and pay with paypal that they can receive a secure link to my website to download the file. another thing that concerns me is that they might be able to share that link with others which would me that I would loose money. I have heard of some software that expires the link. I'm just very new and very confused about this.

You can store .zip files in your website space and give people links to them after they've paid.
