I want to know where to buy wholesale. I want to open an online business.?

I need help. I am a mother of 5 and recently divorce. I would like to open a business in ebay but I dont know where to buy. Please help!

It depends on what kind of business you want to open and what types of product(s) you want to sell.

I buy and sell children's books; exclusively pre-1970's. I specialize in children's series books - usually most popular from the 1900's - late 1960's early 70's. I only sell hardbound books - no paperbacks. I also collect specialty books for the little ones - like pop-up books. I find my books on eBay, from online book sellers, garage sales, antique shops, flea markets, etc. I look for books that aren't over-priced, in good condition and still will be of interest to collectors. I educated myself on what to look for, how to judge the condition of books, how to tell if they were 1st editions and which editions of some series were more collectable.

I chose this because I collected Nancy Drew books when I was a teenager in the 60's and 70's and I fell in love with the books.

You need to find your passion and sell what you are knowledgable about or can learn quickly, something that isn't being oversold (like beading or jewelry - too much competition) and something that will sell easily in your area of the country.

My husband and I also do stained glass in our spare time. He works full-time outside the home but in the evenings and weekends we devote full-time to the stained glass. We specialize in windows, doors, repairs and restorations and the stained glass has allowed me to stay home and not work. We are fair and honest with our customers and the secondary income can range from 30K-70K a year just part-time.

The possibilities are endless. You are limited only by your imagination. Consider getting your children involved and finding out what they think will sell. You would be surprised at how creative children are and what fresh ideas they have.
