Small online business?

How can I open like an online store. Selling things like electronics and such. How much does it cost to get one going? Is there any websites that have the store bulit for you already and you just have to pay money for it? I know I have seen some before, but where can I find them? The cheapest ones out there. (NOT EBAY!) Also where can I find items at wholesale prices, like buy 50 and get 40% off each item, I have also seen these before. Thanks for any help.

I hate to say this but ebay is a good place to start with opening a store. If you choose to I would create a web page and try to get it listed in a search engine. Also if you are familiar with Craigslist.org and they are in or near your city I would put a link there periodically to let people know waht you are saying. I have an online store but it is easy for me because I sell on Amazon, Half, Alibris. One of the complaints that I hear form dealers in that they don't receive enough hits. Most of the time there website is not applealing so no one is interested.
If you are cmputer savy some good web page starters are Ms Front Page. Have someone create a page for you. As for wholesale you should look in the back of some computer magazines mst aften they have computer supplies offered at wholesale rates

I really don't have high hopes for your proposed line of income, not because I don't think it is highly profitable nor that you are not capable, but the percentages are against you. Today so many people have already been there, so to speak that only a few hundred really dedicated pros are making good money, but if you have another idea here's at least a place to start. Micrsosoft has just recently started a free beta site to run your business from at no cost whatsoever, but you must have a credit card. They'll probably charge you a smal amount then refund. I have started a site there and am finding it somewhat tough to slog through the softweare to get the site like I want it, and it is limited web page software, but for free I can't complain. I hope this helps as I truly believe it is the best going.

Everyone wants to sell online electronics.. I wish I could smack you across the head for not coming up with a more original idea.
