Have You Experience Business Loss Through Online Stores?

What Online Stores Have You Experienced That Has Gone Under For The Last Several Months?.....And What Online Store Business Is Prosperous?..

I signed up with emerchantdirect.com, from Houston, Texas with a pleasant liar named Ken McHaffey. I got on the hook for a credit card and check clearing terminal, using a lease application form that was supposedly only because he was out of his regular form, that I supposedly wasn't going to have to pay for but started coming out of my bank account anyway, but he only was to have access to my bank account so he could deposit my commissions, which was supposed to happen after I got the training materials to sell and service my demonstrator terminal, which I would be able to do after I got trained, but the training materials were never done. He was going to fix up a web site for advertising, but after many, many delays ("We are under denial of service attacks by competitors"), I finally got a website, but couldn't get the text and most of the linking features to work. The only one that the autoresponder would respond for is if I used my email or my computer, it was dead when used from a different computer (as in customer). I couldn't order terminals for customers because he closed his businees. The last I heard he was "investing in a motel chain."

But then, I also signed up at Barnes & Noble university, and bought some books. They have record that I signed up for a class but not that I paid, much less that I paid for some books. I stupidly didn't print out the receipt and my wife misplaced the credit card bill and Barnes & Noble still sends me notes that another class is available if I stupidly wanted to try again.

Do these count? Meanwhile I have bought, successfully, flowers from 800flowers.com and software from Corel (because Microsoft's website couldn't find the download or make the checkout work on their own website when trying to get Word). Oh, yes, and my Scottrade account works fine online.
