Do you think this is a good idea for an online business?

A little back story to my question.
In my senior year in high school when I was getting ready to take my senior portraits, I got bored and decided to make my cat a Graduation cap and tie....it came out perfect and was actually fun to me because I am a silly natured person and I love to sew.
So, I thought about opening an online store to sell pet outfits. Some to match every occasion and some that are just outfits for every day. I know there are a lot of pet lovers out there who buy pet clothes and such, or people like me who think it's cute to do silly things like that on occasion.
So, do you think that would be a good idea for an online business?
Would it interest you if you ran accross it?

I think your idea is a very creative one. As you mentioned that you have a gift for sewing, I would check online to see what various pet costumes run, if you haven't already. Just to get an idea of what you may charge for your finished outfits. Hope the best!

It IS a good idea, because some people will buy anything and everything for their pets. However, many sites and stores already sell these. You need to do some market research, and get together a business plan in that regard.
An alternative would be doing them to sell at local or regional craft fairs - then your price point can be kept down, with more chance of sales.

Seems like a cool idea to get into, just make sure you do some more reseach like see what other sites out there already do this and what their prices and selection and quality are like. Seems like you got a great idea for a little business and I may be interested in it myself if you had dog clothing too! lol

I would suggest you to place extremely cute pictures of pets donning your pet clothes. You might also want to include free lessons on how to create simple clothings yourself, so that you can drive traffic to your site.

It's a good idea, nevertheless. You might also want to consider your profit margin...
