Do people in the UK have to pay VAT for Online Business?

My business nature is online services and clothes selling to UK.

Should I register my online business in the UK?
I am a resident in the UK with a student visa, not EU citizin.

Yes if your business is based from the UK.

if your turnover is low then you can but don't have to. if your turnover is above the threshold then you should by uk trading laws, be registered for VAT.

You only need to register if your turnover is over 拢65k in any 12 month period.
If you registered the company offshore, the company wouldnt be liable to UK Corporation Tax, but you would still be liable to Income Tax on any salary you drew from the company.

If your business is based in the UK you will have to pay tax. Another option could be similar to what a lot of online companies are doing and base the company offshore in the Channel Islands.

I think we pay taxes on every thing. They recon every pound we have has been taxed 20 or more times
