How can i promote my online business with little money?

i have two online business and i sell everything from vitamins to clothes just like wal-mart that is name brand and i got a myspace page and tried that route i got friends added and a link to my site but nobody is going to it

Hi Scott,

Traffic is the biggest hurdle for online businesses. You don't just want any traffic, you want targeted traffic of people who are actually looking for what you have to sell. Don't pay anyone to advertise your sites on their pay to read email sites and things like that. A waste of your time and money, for sure.

I have an online business, too. It is http://www.chocolate-candy-mall.com I am still in the new and growing stage, but I get ever increasing targeted traffic each month. One of the things that really made the difference for me was understanding the concept of getting targeted traffic. Here's a link that helped me out. http://traffic.sitesell.com/Angie5.html Hope it will help you too.

All the best.

you can try making a website instead of myspace and see how that works. I'm trying to get started with my own too since I have just started in a small business as well

Use Web pages with pictures on them and also make a webpage link to add to ALL of your on line profiles. That will get hit the most I think.

Perhaps Scott the better route for your business would be through E-mail advertising. I know in my country (New Zealand) they advertise for a wide market, at a smaller cost than a web site.Your business sounds fun.Either that or advertise your site as something naughty. Everyone likes something risque. Good Luck!

You have to expand yourself *beyond* Myspace--if you're going to have any real impact. Simply confining yourself to one site is like putting yourself in a closet--and hoping that someone will find you, but no one does.

Because THEY don't know where you are!

Branch out!

There is a lot of ways to promote your online business. Some could be cheap or even free.

Hope that it will be useful to you.

If your business presence is in MySpace...your not a real company and I'm not going to buy from you.

You need to get an independent web site with your own URL

Then you will be taken seriously.

heres to success :)
